About Susrutha
Susrutha Ayurvedic Hospital was established in 1970 with the vision of bringing authentic Ayurvedic healthcare to the people of Kattakada. This long-cherished dream became a reality through the dedication and efforts of two great visionaries, Ayurvedic Physician Sri. P. Krishna Pillai (Late) and Sri. P.K. Pillai (Late). What began as a small Ayurvedic clinic gradually evolved into a trusted and respected Ayurvedic hospital through their relentless commitment to quality healthcare and community service.
The institution reached greater heights under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Krishnankutty Nair (Late), son of Sri. P.K. Pillai and former Head of the Panchakarma Department at Government Ayurveda College. A renowned Ayurvedic physician, researcher, and recipient of several prestigious awards, Dr. Nair contributed immensely to the advancement of the hospital by introducing research-oriented Ayurvedic practices and modern treatment approaches while preserving traditional values.
Today, the hospital and research institute are successfully managed by Dr. Krishnakumar and Dr. Sreejakrishna along with a dedicated team of experienced professionals. Their combined expertise, compassionate care, and commitment to excellence continue to strengthen the institution’s reputation as a center for authentic Ayurvedic healing and wellness. The hospital remains focused on providing personalized treatments that address the root cause of illnesses and promote long-term health.
